Covering Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Cannock, Lichfield and all areas of the county is our section: Loo Hire Staffordshire.

Stoke-on-Trent is the largest city in Staffordshire but the county town is Stafford. The only other city in Staffordshire is Lichfield but major towns include Burton upon Tent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Cannock and Tamworth. The county is split into a number of districts. These are; Cannock Chase, Lichfield, East Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, South Staffordshire, Tamworth, Staffordshire Moorlands and the Borough of Stafford. The County gives it's name to the Bull terrier that was bred for hunting in Staffordshire.

The city of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire’s county town, is considered to be the home of the English pottery industry, and is often referred to as “The Potteries”. Part of the reason for this is that well known companies like Royal Doulton and Wedgwood were started / based there.

Lichfield, Staffordshire’s other city, is relatively small with a population of just twenty eight thousand. Brewing used to be the major industry in the area. Lichfield is the site of the only medieval cathedral in England that has three spires.

Burton upon Trent is also associated with the brewing industry. The Staffordshire town is home to a number of well known brewing companies, making a number of well known drinks.

Staffordshire is the home of the UK’s most visited theme park Alton Towers. The theme park, which opened in 1980, is home to the world’s first vertical drop roller coaster but is only the 11th most visited theme park in Europe.

Newcastle-under-Lyme is a market town in North Staffordshire with a population of around 74,000. The town is part of a world-wide network of cities and towns with the name Newcastle.

Cannock is situated on the M6 toll road and is about eight miles south of Stafford – the county town of Staffordshire. Stafford is also the name of knot which can be seen on the coat of arms of the Stafford family.

Tony Coton the former Manchester City goalkeeper used to live in Tamworth.
