The entertainment for your wedding or special event is a very important consideration. One exciting possibility is a magician. This could be one who is mingling amongst your guests or one that performs on a stage.

Magicians can offer fantastic entertainment and a great talking point for your guests, giving your event that wow factor and something for everyone to remember.

Types of magician

There are a number of different styles of magical entertainment that could be employed by your magician. These include:

• Close Up Magic – where your magician mingles with your guests, performing tricks to a small group of people at a time.
• Table to Table – as the name suggests; using close up magic, but going table to table.
• Stage Magic – where the magician will perform to the whole event at once – possibly bringing guests up on stage with them.

Things to consider

There are a number of considerations to take on board when booking a magician – these include experience, style, price and whether the magician will suit your event.

Testimonials are important – both for the quality of the magician and the experience which they gave to other similar events to yours.

If it is an important consideration to you, find out what the magician will be wearing – if you don’t discuss this prior to the event, then there could be the unexpected surprise that they turn up to your wedding in jeans and a t-shirt. This may be no problem at all to you, but is worth discussing beforehand.

After making an initial enquiry – it is important to speak to your magician before making a confirmed booking. There is no reason why you can’t ask to see an example of their magic before confirming.
