Cocktails can add excitement to your event and can offer an alternative to the beer, cider, wines, spirits and mixers served by traditional mobile bars. There are different options that are associated with mobile cocktail bars and these are looked at below.
Mixologists
Mixology can be described as “the art or skill of preparing drinks”.
By hiring a mixologist – you would be hiring a professional who has experience in preparing a wide variety of cocktails – that can be served at your event. The mixologist will not necessarily be a flair bartender.
Flair Bartending
Some companies will offer flair bartenders – the type made famous by Tom Cruise in the film “Cocktail”. These are the kinds of specialist bartenders that are seen as a type of entertainment as well as a way to serve drinks.
The difference between a mixologist and a flair bartender is that the mixologists make cocktails with a high level of skill, while the flair bartenders do the tricks with the bottles by throwing and spinning them while preparing your drink.
Mobile Cocktail Bar Hire
A mobile cocktail bar can be staffed by either mixologists or flair bartenders or a mixture of the two.
It is important to remember that it’s simply not possible for one flair bartender to prepare, serve and throw bottles and glasses around when they have 50 guests all wanting cocktails.
